About: As part of FLUIDesign Hackathon 2025, my team got the opportunity to consult the local brand OHME! Dried fruits on redesigning their website to enhance their check-out conversion rate while strengthening community engagement with both retail and direct-to-consumer sales.

The Core Challenge: How can we elevate OHME!’s existing web platform to build consumer trust, increase sales but also stay fun, natural and approachable?

The main issues that OHME! wanted to tackle included:

  • Showcasing the Berry Berry Yum Pack with a seamless subscription shopping flow.

  • Highlighting customer stories, reviews, and ambassador content to build trust.

  • Driving retail interest by spotlighting in-store availability and B2B potential.

Brainstorming Process: Through our research and reviewing the client brief, we targeted our client call to address what makes OHME! different from competitors, the user’s key problems and how to keep the shopping process effortless and joyful. The biggest problem the client emphasized was to reduce the number of clicks to check-out.

We began by pulling some visual mood boards to get aligned on fun visuals that are clean and effective. We then moved into mapping out a general user flow and sketching core wireframe sections. A mentor stepped in, suggesting to make the navigation more intuitive and highlighting the Yum Pack earlier in the product page.

Final Design Solution

Our solution brought together storytelling and visual clarity into a cohesive platform:

  • Homepage Hero: Spotlighting the Berry Berry Yum Pack with subscription options.

  • Interactions: Integrated judge.me for scrollable, photo-based customer reviews. Interactive carousels designed for product interaction.

  • Blog Hub/Community Space: Featured recipes, ambassador highlights, and social content, with embedded shoppable links to reinforce brand trust.

  • Retail Showcase: A dedicated section for retail availability and future B2B partnerships.

  • AI Chat-Bot: A quirky, on-brand method of assisting costumers while reducing clicks.

The design concept successfully:

  • Enhanced trust by reducing clutter, showcasing authentic reviews and community content

  • Increased engagement with recipes and interactive blog features

  • Streamlined the shopping experience with subscriptions and product sliders (3-D size comparisons)

Reflection and Next Steps

This project highlighted the balance between business goals and user needs. Our solution primarily focused on community-building and engagement. Given more time, we would:

  • Conduct usability testing to validate the shopping flow

  • Explore mobile first refinements

  • Expand the retailer section for B2B opportunities

Overall, the project reinforced how impactful UI/UX design can bridge convenience, conversion and storytelling!
